Graham Puntis leads Puntis Associates Ltd.

 

Graham is a strategic business leader in the Energy, Marine & Subsea sectors. He is a Chartered Naval Architect and Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in solutions oriented businesses focused on servitisation.


Having worked with companies such as Rolls-Royce, Technor, Elliott and Gates, Graham is well networked and experienced globally.

He has led organisations of significant scale through material growth, worked with Private Equity on Buy & Build, Startup, and Carve-out projects. Graham has successfully launched and developed aftermarket offerings in multiple sectors.


Recently Graham has focused on offshore and subsea projects, particularly in the areas of remote intervention in support of Energy Transition, Telecoms, and Oil & Gas.


Graham is Vice Chair of Everyturn, a mental health charity, and has served on boards across Europe and the Middle East.

 EXPERIENCE

SUBSEA REMOTE INTERVENTION BUSINESS PLANNING

Working with stakeholders to develop an evolving business case considering different scenarios.

Engagement with Corporate Finance and Private Equity  to define funding solutions.

Creation and documentation of five year strategic plans and modelling to support the business case.

OFFSHORE COMMODITY BUSINESS TURNAROUND

Delivery of a material turnaround to an offshore commodity provider covering global manufacture and commercial activities for Europe, APAC and LATAM. Doubling of turnover and reversal of significant losses achieved through process re-engineering, restructuring, strategic sales refresh, and entry into adjacent markets.

SUBSEA ASSET REFURBISHMENT - TURNKEY PROJECT DELIVERY

Assembly and project management of a  consortium to deliver a major refurbishment of a Chinese subsea plough. Scope included design engineering, fabrication drawings, fabrication and assembly. Stakeholder management and customer liaison essential as the extent of the refurbishment grew.

SERVITISATION OF SUBSEA ASSET OEM BUSINESS

Development of a five plan to Servitise a Subsea Asset OEM and provide a customer focused aftermarket proposition. Strategy, proposition, organisation, cultural shift, processes and procedures defined as the pathway to a £30-50m turnover business.

TURNAROUND AND RECOVERY OF VALVE DIVISION

Rapid response, high impact project to recover underperforming business unit. Development and implementation of short term action plan to deliver final quarter on budget together with definition of a longer term business process re-engineering and restructuring to achieve and maintain required performance.

AEROSPACE SUPPLY CHAIN RECOVERY

Supporting a European aerospace manufacturer to recover stalling composite supply chain, mainly based in the US. shortage of supply, rising demand and conflicting priorities led to erratic and unreliable delivery performance affecting the build programme. Working with the customer and supplier to establish a robust and equitable process for communicating deliveries and recovering the programme.
